Outsourced controlling

Outsourced controlling for companies

An outsourced controller keeps continuous track of how your company is performing: designing the management accounting model, monitoring the budget, explaining variances and preparing management reporting. We don't just hand over reports: we interpret them and tell you what they show and what you should do.

When it makes sense

Multiple sites, lines or projects

You need to know which parts of the business make money and which don't, with consistent, comparable information.

No in-house controller

Your books are up to date, but nobody turns them into information for decisions every month.

Your team needs support

We coordinate with your finance department or controller so that accounting and reporting are consistent.

How we work

  1. 1

    Assessment

We review the information available, how it is recorded and what management needs to make decisions.

  2. 2

    Design and implementation

We define the management accounting model, indicators and reporting, and run them in parallel with your current system.

  3. 3

    Ongoing monitoring

We prepare the agreed reporting, analyse variances and discuss them with management.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask before getting started

If your question isn't answered here, write to us and we'll get back to you.

What is the difference between a controller and an outsourced CFO?

The controller focuses on measuring and analysing: management accounting, budget, variances and reporting. The outsourced CFO also takes on financial management: cash, financing, dealings with banks and investors, and strategic decisions. They can be engaged separately or together.

What is management accounting?

It allocates income and expenses to cost centres, projects or business lines, so you know how much each part of the company earns or loses, not just the company as a whole.

Can you work with our ERP?

Yes. We work with the information in your current system and, if needed, help you adapt it or implement a new one so that management control is reliable.

Do you also need to keep the books?

Not necessarily. We can coordinate with your accounting team or your current advisers: what matters is a solid, consistent accounting base.

How is the fee calculated?

It depends on the scope, the complexity of the management accounting model and the level of involvement. It is charged as a monthly fee, agreed after an initial conversation in which we send you a specific proposal.
